Is not for $1 anymore, but is still a good pizza for a cheap price in NYC. The size is pretty good and tasty.

If you ever wondered why the pizza in New York is so good, it's because of the mineral content in the water. I asked several locals where the best pizza slice was, and they said 99 Cent Pizza on Broadway and 54th. They were right! This no frills place is not fancy at all, nor is the floor very clean, but they make great pizza. They have the perfect ratio of sauce to cheese and toppings. I tried the pepperoni and it was fabulous. Only after I ordered, I realized I could add other toppings like black olives and mushrooms. I'll try that next time. There is no seating, so you take it to go, or stand at the bar and eat it. The guy who took my order was so nice and kind. 2 slices of pizza and a bottle of Diet Coke was $5.50! Absolute madness in a good way. Do your self a favor and drop by this spot when you are in Manhattan.

Truly THE BEST!! Had to quickly grab two pies on our drive out of the city after museum day! To my husband's surprise we were back in the car in 5 mins preventing him from taking an anticipated nap! The guys were professional! Pizza was absolutely delish which worked out great for our out of town family! 10/10 if you're looking for a cheap NY slice, this is your spot!

We went at almost midnight. They had numerous pizzas in the oven, we did get plain cheese. It had just come out of the oven. They had a line out the door. We got 4 slices for $4. No tax so you don't have to worry about stupid amounts of change. The pizza was super hot and delicious. It is cheap, but it isn't bad pizza. The service isn't "rude" they are straight to the point and done. I wouldnt expect a whole conversation at midnight with a line out the door! We will most definitely have this again tomorrow night! Easy, quick, cheap, delicious, fast! What else can you ask for?

They ran out of pepperoni that day. I ordered extra cheese and sausage. It's probably not the healthiest choice of diet because it basically consists of carbs, oil and very small amount of protein. If you're budget traveling, it's perfect to fill your hunger and continue your day.
